PM Shebaz Sharif visit to China

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently undertook an official visit to China from June 4 to June 8, 2024. The visit included stops in Beijing, Xi’an, and Shenzhen, and focused on enhancing bilateral ties, particularly through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other areas of mutual interest.

During his visit, Sharif held meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. The discussions emphasized upgrading the CPEC, advancing trade and investment, and enhancing cooperation in various sectors including defense, energy, space, science and technology, and education. In Beijing, Sharif also met with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and other key government officials​
