The Rainbow after the Storm

Hi y’all,

Any Leo Kottke or Richard Gilewitz fans in the house? Attached is an original I created from Echoing Gilewitz / Echoing Forest.

I recorded this two nights ago as a memorial video for a cousin on my dad’s side of the family. His name is Matt. He passed away due to ALS. When I first met Matthew it was Christmas 1995 at my grandparent’s. It was a long time since I saw anyone from my dad side of the family.

Anyhow, I brought my guitars and played 3 songs. My original based on Echoing Gilewitz was one of those 3 songs. In memory of Matthew I recorded this video. It was when he first met me. He was a young man back then around 15, I think.

I live overseas and Matthew’s funeral is today (6-6-2024). Since I am able to be attend, I made this video.

The title the Rainbow after the Storm is based on the idea that when life storms hit hard - you gotta look for those rainbows. Promises of hope. It’s what Noah did.
