Led by a defensive unit that registered six sacks and forced Falcon quarterback Chris Miller into throwing two interceptions, Detroit raced out to a 24-0 lead just 20 minutes into the game and never looked back. Running back Barry Sanders had a game-high 90 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries while quarterback Rodney Peete connected on 11-of-20 passing for 178 yards and 1 TD.
