During a circus performance in Obninsk, Russia, a roller-skating bear named Dzhema attacked her trainer, Oleg Krasov, in front of a horrified audience.

The incident occurred on June 1 at the Mash Circus’s “Happiness Show.” Audience footage shows Krasov forcing Dzhema to perform tricks and pulling her up by her fur.

When Krasov turned his back, Dzhema charged, knocking him down and hitting him with her front paws as parents rushed to protect their children.

Despite the attack, local reports indicate Krasov was not seriously injured. Circus management downplayed the event, claiming Dzhema was merely playing, The Sun reported.
