Is It A Dumb Idea? Well Yeah.. So. Gravel Scraper, Fake Hornets Nest To Fool Carpenter Bees?

I got a load of gravel and tried to figure a way to spreed it on the cheap but it didn't work for long. I am trying to run off carpenter bees with a bunch of plastic bag and a dot of black paint. I haven't seen a bee, or a bird on my trailer, in days!
