I wanted to buy an inexpensive but decent quality Top Handle Grip to use with my Sony ZV-E10 camera cage. The going rate on Amazon is around £30 but this one, widely available from multiple shippers at a range of prices from AliExpress under the JLwin brand, cost me just £11 with free shipping from China. Can it be any good?

The grip arrived in a plain and rather battered brown box with no instructions or product information included, not that any was needed. The build quality seems fine. It is made from aluminium alloy and feels reassuringly heavy duty and made to last. I have been using it now daily for about a month and so far the black anodised finish remains unmarked.

The grip, which is 140mm long with a top surface 64mm above the camera is secured to the cage with a ¼" screw with two side pins and secured with a large thumbscrew knob. It features two cold shoe mounts, one verticle and the other horizontal on the handle front and the same at the rear. It features a lockable 15mm Rod aperture and 23 ¼" and ⅜" screw hole mounts. The AliExpress product page mentions an Arca Swiss mount point but this I cannot see.

The grip works fine and allows a wide range of accessories, including a NATO rail, to be fitted to it. I mainly use it to mount my camera monitor and it can do this with several fixing points.

That really, is all there is to it.

This is a decent quality budget priced camera top grip which should answer all your mounting needs except for a NATO rail interface. For the budget price - now reduced to £9.49 at the time of writing - it is a very decent buy.
