Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the Labour leader KeiraStarmer clashed over the NHS, cost of living,education and immigration in the first head-to-head TV debate of the election.

In opening statements, Starmer said this election wasabout a choice between "chaos" with theConservatives or "rebuilding with Labour". Sunak said"uncertain times call for a clear plan and bold action".
