CBR Pro-Cart Championship Round 2

This is round two of my nephew Colton Berns CBR Pro-Cart Championship. The track we run on today is Colton’s original configuration. This race was supposed to be on Memorial Day weekend but several in Colton’s family had gotten Covid, the race was rescheduled for 6-1-24. On this day we had about three hours of steady rain two hours prior to the race so the track was pretty muddy in several areas which made for a drivers track, if you didn’t work the throttle you were going to spin the tires or spin out. The race was 10 laps with a competition caution lap at 5, hitting/bumping again is allowed, but retaliation is also allowed. All of these carts are clocked at 18 mph maximum speed and single left wheel drive to keep it fair for all participants. A draw of the hat for starting position each race is done allowing everyone a chance to start in the pole position, or front row. In this race I got lucky again and drew the pole position. Racers are myself Ricky Hembel #11, Colton Berns #307, Sam Hanson #12, Mark Bishop #25, Ethan Rouer #65. There will be six races this season with points awarded each race depending on laps led, fastest lap, lap led before competition caution, and place of finish.
