They were once cutting-edge armored vehicles, but now are little more than scrap and rust. The US-made International MaxxPro is designed to survive bullets, bombs, and driving directly over landmines, but has two major flaws: first, it can’t handle uneven terrain or slight turns; second, it can’t survive mines, it seems. Of the hundreds of MaxxPro units sent to Ukraine, several dozen have been destroyed, now lined up in a graveyard. Burnt, broken, shot and blown up, these twisted ruins have finally been pulled from the battlefield, the majority of them thought to have been destroyed during Ukraine’s failed summer 2023 counteroffensive.

The LostArmour project keeps track of verifiable losses of military hardware in all forms of conflict in the 21st century. Few pieces of evidence for the scale of Ukraine’s losses can be more verifiable than this video, which the project shared to their Telegram channel.
