Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is suing three tree service companies

Canary Tree Service and owner Justin Hartmann are accused by Nessel of recruiting a Mississippi,; Kentucky and Michigan based company for work. The companies are accused of misleading people about the nature of the agreements they signed, the cost of it, potential financial responsibility for costs not covered by insurance, and their legal rights and obligations. They allegedly did the work in Oakland and Washtenaw counties in 2021 and in Gaylord in 2022.
