Aging is hard. Each day it gets harder and harder to accept the fact that life has an expiry date. As hard as it is to admit it, it’s what awaits each and every one of us at the end of this great cycle we call life.

But unfortunately life’s not fair. There is no warranty that we will live to experience a graceful aging, surrounded by our loved ones and creating amazing memories until the day we die. Sometime life is unfair like that and speeds up the aging process for no other reason than the fact that it can and it will.

Unfortunately, dementia is very common. It is not just one disease, but a broad term for a variety of illnesses that affect the brain’s functioning. They slowly creep into someone’s life and work on gradually decreasing their ability to think and remember, affecting their everyday routines and lives. Ones of the most common types of dementia are Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and frontotemporal dementia as well as normal pressure hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, syphilis, and Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease among others. One person can have multiple of these diseases and unfortunately there is no known cure for them.

More often than not, the care for the people suffering from dementia falls on their closest family and friends. It is up to them to help them make the most out of the situation and bring a little bit of spark to their everyday lives and this video is here to prove it.
