Indeed, one should remember that the Jewish Holy Day of Chanukah is about the redemption of Jews in their own land. It may also be, and please God, may the coming Chanukah be, about celebrating the redemption of a person, who was imprisoned for a long time, over the killing of a leader of a hostile organization in a country which used to be an ally of Israel. However, Chanukah is not about staging false propaganda regarding what some countries did or didn't do during WWII, or demanding private property which was lost at that time.
