Why does the Philippines keep wanting to bring US into South China Sea？

When you listen to Philippine President Marcos’ speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue, you'd wonder whether it was written by someone in Washington. We can see US fingerprints in all these situations, either Taiwan Straits, South China Sea disputes or Russia-Ukraine conflict.
