WHERE ARE ALL THE STARS?

Notice that from high altitude balloon footage averaging around 100,000 feet we never see the Stars but from a commercial jet cruising altitude which is around 35,000 feet we do! Makes you wonder what Stars really are! I suspect the Stars are imbedded in the Firmament/Dome and at a certain angle from that vantage point they are no longer visible.
