Deol is known for his larger-than-life on-screen characters and patriotism for his homeland. He is impressed by the realistic portrayals of South Indian films that have struck a chord with their audience. As a one-term member of parliament with the BJP, Deol is ready to bid farewell to politics and concentrate fully on creating engaging cinema that makes his family tradition proud.
