This video begins with the death of Israel, the father of the Israelites, who died in Egypt. His son, Joseph--who was second in command in Egypt at the time--had him embalmed. Embalming was a sign of status in Egypt and prevented Israel's body from decomposing before his family could bury him in Canaan (Genesis 50:4-13). After Israel's embalming, the Egyptians mourned for him in public for 70 days, as they would for royalty (Genesis 50:3). Job's lamentation of death in Job 14 is applied to the death of Israel. Then, Israel's descendants are discussed. As Jerusalem was the capital of the southern kingdom of Judah, Samaria was the capital of the northern kingdom of Israel and YAH expresses His disgust of the Israelites who trusted in Samaria. Job's words of wisdom in Job 12 are applied to the fate of the Israelites and it coincides with the curse that YAH would put upon the Israelites as per Deuteronomy 28:29 "...you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save you." But of course, wisdom saves us from the self-destruction caused by foolishness and YAH will save us when we're finally wise enough to call on Him to.
