The Big Top | Feywild Carnival Music

The flickering lamplight at the entrance cast dancing shadows as the group hesitantly stepped beneath the canvas awning. A hush fell over the excited murmurs as they all squeezed past a group of giggling gnomes, their eyes wide with wonder. A wave of vibrant colors assaulted the senses – the air shimmered with an unseen energy, and the colossal tent seemed to stretch endlessly upwards, supported by trunks that resembled living trees.

A spotlight ignited overhead, revealing a dazzling figure suspended in mid-air. Clad in a mirrored suit that sparkled like a disco ball, a flamboyant elf with butterfly wings grinned down at the crowd. His voice boomed, rich and theatrical, welcoming everyone to the evening's extravaganza. A collective gasp rippled through the audience as ribbons materialized from the elf's wings, snatched by a kaleidoscope of fairy dragons that soared through the tent, weaving through the air in a mesmerizing dance. The fantastical spectacle had only just begun, and the group couldn't help but feel a thrill course through them – the Witchlight Carnival, it seemed, had only just begun.

Welcome back to the territory of the wild and uncanny. The Feywild calls once again and I consistently see any and all of my material for it get the most plays out of about anything else.

This being noted, it's time to revisit! I noted a whole bunch of different ordeals that the players go through as they traverse the #WildBeyondTheWitchlight adventure.

This theme came to me as a slight variation on one that I'd already made as a catch-all for the whole carnival. However, as I wrote, it shifted and adjusted and finally sort of turned out like this. I envision, at least partially, that the characters are walking through into the Big Top for a performance or two, snare-rolls and all.
