Carnival Spirit Hosts An Adrenaline-Pumping Green Thunder Water Slide

If you are one of those cruisers whose daytime entertainment seeks for activities more exciting than a dip in the pool, then you would be interested in an adrenaline-pumping water ride. It will twist, turn and drop you and it will definitely add some enjoyment to your sea day making you feel like a kid again.

There is nothing new about water slides on cruise ships but Carnival Spirit, introducing its new toy – the Green Thunder – has taken this feature on whole different level. The Green Thunder is installed on this 2,680-passenger cruise ship, and is currently the steepest and fastest waterside at sea. This amazing water slide has a trap-door with an awesome steep drop. The riders step inside a capsule, the floor drops, and they free-fall, plummeting almost vertically for 10 meters through a green semi-translucent slide tube, looping over the side of the ship, and into a splash zone down on the deck. So, if you are in the mood for free falling and being whipped around at up to 65 kilometers per hour, your time on Carnival Spirit will be a time well spent! If you are not, brace yourself and prepare for the ride of your life. The correct expression would be “hang on tightly” but we skipped it because there is nothing to hang on to!
