May God have mercy on our children!

There’s a popular saying: “since they removed prayer from schools, Satan the Devil, has walked in to take that space”. This reflects a concern that removing religious guidance from schools has led to moral decline, relying instead on human protection.

There’s much wisdom and truth in those sayings. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has a brief but significant and profound declaration that many people seem to forget or want to forget. It says, “Canada is founded upon principles that recognizes the supremacy of God and the rule of law.” At the time of its declaration, the God that is referenced is the God of the Bible.
