Between 1820 and 1920 Blacks, many of them newly freed from enslavement, migrated to as many as 200 newly-created Black Towns across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Today many black communities across this region are stress by social, economic, and security challenges. Today we explore the viability of generating a new movement of village creation and self-determined migration to new lands for sovereign development.
