Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an Indian actress. Originally from Andhra Pradesh and currently working in Tamil and Telugu cinema, she is well-known for her role in the hit movie Eega with Sudeep, produced by well-known director SS Rajamouli in 2012 which proved to be a blockbuster at the box office with earnings of over Rs.50 crores ($10 million). She won four Filmfare Awards South, six South Indian International Movie Awards, and two Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards for this performance.
