Investigating My Bad Match Causes - My Gear Or Me?

So yeah, that last match was bad for me! I am determined to find the cause of my terrible performance. I had a few ideas and wanted to get in and test them out. I thought I would take you along as I go through a few things I believe could have been the issue.
I tested my zero. It appears that it is still plenty close enough for PRS targets. I don't think anything is wrong there.
Move on to testing my binos and Kestrel. I did notice that my binos were giving a different degree than my Kestrel. Some directions are off 30 to 40 degrees, some are right on. Very weird. Once I realized this, I thought it might be the problem.
But, after testing here, I am not seeing the windage be off enough to have put me off target. So, even though the numbers are off at times, I don't think that is all of the problem.

I do believe that I either just had a bad match, or I was making some bad wind calls. I feel like I was doing my part well, so I am hoping it was just bad wind readings. Most of my misses seemed to be off the side, so I think I was overcompensating for the wind and pushing my rounds off the edge and not getting very many impacts. I freely admit that reading and performing in the wind is my weakest point right now. I am getting confident with everything else, but the wind still is beating me down. Of course, that is the hardest to learn. I will double down on learning the wind better. I want to be able to feel and hear the changes in the wind and know how to correct for that while I'm down on the rifle in the middle of a stage. I also need to learn better how it behaves when there are terrain changes. Sometimes we are shooting from an elevated position and the targets are down in valleys where maybe the wind is behaving differently.
Always more to learn and I will share it all with you!
Let me know if you have any good drills or tips to get a better handle on the wind!!

Thanks for watching. I appreciate your time. I hope you have a great rest of your day and an awesome weekend!!

This is a private range. All shooting is done in a safe, controlled environment with no people or dwellings within miles to be at risk.
