In this captivating black and white film from 1924, all-American Bill Pendleton makes a drunken bet and proposes to the beautiful Mary Brainard. When Mary discovers the wager, she leaves school and sails for China with her missionary father. Realizing his mistake, Bill embarks on a daring journey to find her. Arriving in China amidst a bloody revolution, Bill learns that Mary and her father are captives of insurgents. A decorated WWI pilot, Bill must fly into mortal combat to rescue them or die trying.
