Indian Administered Kashmir has seen its highest voter turnout in more than three decades.

Elections are normally boycotted, seen as a way for the Indian government to legitimise control over the region.

These are the first general elections since the Modigovernment took away Kashmir's special status in 2019.

Voting has become a way for many Kashmiris to protest that move.
