OCCO - In the Garden of Earthly Delights (lyric video)

"In the Garden of Earthly Delights" is the 9th and final song from my album "ROLL OUT THE FOG!" it's the last of the 9 ring wraiths lol

the lyrics are based on the Hieronymus Bosch painting titled "The Garden of Earthly Delights" (translated from Dutch "De tuin der lusten") i tie up the themes of the album with this one. i interpreted the painting and wrote a song that alone is about addiction and pride. but as part of the album, it serves as the thesis - all the little evils within each of us creates the big evils we point the blame at. the whole album i spend critiquing institutions and tyrants, but on this last song i place the blame squarely at the individual. it's up to you to control your shadow, lest it start controlling you, and you end up carried away by the swarm.

the music is based on each of the 3 panels. the first part is peaceful, a choir-like vocal, representing the Garden Of Eden on the left panel. the middle panel is about debauchery and sin, they've fallen far from paradise. so i reflect that in the music by creating a dark club type beat. the last panel is hell, and we went HAM AS FUCK to get the ending of this song to sound that way with industrial metal and some good ol' dubstep.
