Do steel cut oats need to be soaked overnight with an acid? 🧐

Yes, we recommend soaking all your grains overnight! They not only cook in half the time, but they are more nutritious and digestible. Your tummy will thank you! 🙏🏻

Basically... soak your oats in whatever amount of water you're going to cook them in, but instead of cooking right away, soak overnight at room temperature.

Plus... for every cup of water, you add one tablespoon of acid such as lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, etc.

Then, 7 to 8 hours later (or overnight), when you're about to cook, you drain the oats. Catch the soaking water and measure it, so you can replace the same amount with fresh water (or milk) for cooking. You can also rinse the oats to remove any sour flavor.

Then cook as usual... except they should be done in half the time! 🙌🏻

This the simple explanation of how to do it.
