Donald Trump spoke to reporters outside a courtroom in Manhattan as his "hush money" trial wraps up and attorneys make final statements.

Former president Trump's historic criminal trial enters its final act Tuesday as his defense attorney Todd Blanche began delivering his closing argument in the case. Blanche spoke for nearly three hours, seeking to poke holes in the prosecution's case and, specifically, the testimony of its key witness, Michael Cohen.

After a break, prosecutor Joshua Steinglass will deliver the prosecution's closing arguments, which he said will be "somewhere in the vicinity of four to four-and-a-half hours," according to NBC.

Trump faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to hide a $130,000 hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in an attempt to prevent it from becoming public knowledge during the 2016 presidential campaign. The former president has been held in contempt of court and fined $10,000 for violating a gag order issued by the judge at the outset of the trial.
