Secret ingredients REVEALED! And techniques I have picked up on over the years living in Costa Rica. Making empanadas is my love language. This video is dedicated to friends who have tried my empanadas and are obsessed with them.

Ingredients
Filling:
Black Beans
Onions
Garlic
Tomatos
Cilantro / Culantro
Hot sauce.. or if you can get your hands on LIZANO
Banana
Dough:
Maseca white Corn Flour (don't use cornbread corn flour... they add baking soda to it)
Plantain (preferably roasted before so it's soft)
Salt
Water
