Ezra Lesson-02: A Divine Stirring - Part II

This Week’s Lesson

Today we are in Lesson-02 in the series “Rebuilding on the Solid Rock” from the book of Ezra.
 
This is Volume I of our series: “After the Exile” a study of Ezra-Nehemiah-Esther.
 
The lesson is titled “A Divine Stirring – Part II” and our focus passage is Ezra 1:5-2:70.
 
Please find your way in your Bible to that passage.

In our previous episode, we began our study of Ezra, with our first division “A Divine Stirring to Release” from v1-4.
 
We saw how Cyrus, stirred up in his spirit by the Lord, declared the release of the Jewish exiles and gave them a purpose: go back to Jerusalem and rebuild the Temple destroyed by the Babylonians.
 
The Jews were also going be supported in this work with resources (gold, silver, cattle, equipment, etc.) provided by their neighbors.

Today we will focus on our second division, “A Divine Stirring to Return”, v5-11 and our third division, “A Divine Stirring to Rebuild”, 2:1-70.
