NEW Spider-Man Movie with Tobey Maguire | Sony Ditching Marvel

It’s being reported that Sony is looking to create their own shared universe separated from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, with Tobey Maguire back as Spider-Man.

Hollywood has been going through a difficult time with many fans abandoning once beloved franchises like Marvel and Star Wars due to the filmmakers alienating audiences. So far Sony has been failing every attempt at comic book movies built around secondary characters within the Spider-Man comics since that is one property, they own the rights to. It just makes sense Sony will decide to abandon Disney and Marvel Studios in favor of just creating their own thing.
