Text: Romans 1:18-32

Objective: that the brethren know how to deal with people’s (specially sodomite’s) self-deception, avoid it, and help others to not fall victims of it

Intro:
Define – shame, deception, self-deception, sodomites, blunder

Self-deception refers to the psychological phenomenon where individuals deceive themselves into believing something that is false or misleading, often to avoid discomfort or to maintain a positive self-image. It involves convincing oneself of something contrary to the available evidence or rational reasoning. This can happen unconsciously or consciously, and it often serves to protect one's ego, maintain self-esteem, or cope with difficult truths.

Bible verses – glory and shame, self-deception, unbearable events

Things to Avoid which are also the reasons for self-deception:
1. Ungodliness – v.18
2. Making excuses despite of clarity of the truth – vv. 19-20
3. Not doing right by God – not worshipping/serving God – v. 21
4. Conceit – v.22 - an excessively favorable opinion of one's own ability, importance, wit, etc.
5. Deciding what is glorious and not based on self-determination only – v.23
6. Removing God in mind – v. 28
7. Having pleasure (like, support, follow, subscribe) in what God hates – v.32

Message/conclusion:
Let us know how to deal with people’s (specially sodomite’s) self-deception, avoid it, and help others to not fall victims of it
