It began with the Torn Curtain
12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining[b] eternal redemption. 13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. 14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,[c] so that we may serve the living God! Hebrews 9:12-14
Sins were permanently paid for.
Full access to God is now open to all.
Every Jesus follower into a full-on priest.
Rights and Responsibilities
Welcome To The Priesthood
Four Things That Change Everything
1. We have full and complete access to God.
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5
Three mythsthat can rob us of our rights and privileges.
Holy place myth
Holy man myth
Gifted leader myth
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
2. We have full access to God’s will and His word.
11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.1 Corinthians 2:11-12, 16

3. We can do anything a pastor can do.
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy 1 Peter 2:9-10
4. We can powerfullyintercede on behalf of others.
5 Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. Hebrews 5:1
