అస్సాంలో పండే అరుదైన రకం వరి పంట. ఈశాన్య భారతదేశంలోని అస్సాం బలమైన మరియు ప్రత్యేకమైన సంస్కృతికి ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. ఇది అనేక ప్రత్యేక ఆహారాలకు నిలయం. వాటిలో బోకాసాల్ (Boka Saul) "మేజిక్ రైస్" ఒకటి. ఈ బియ్యాన్ని వండాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. వేడి నీళ్ళులో 10-15 నిమిషాలు లేదా చల్లటి నీరులో ఒక గంట నానబెట్టండి. అదే అన్నంగా మారుతుంది. 2018లో, బోకా సాల్ వరి వంగడానికి GI ట్యాగ్‌ని వచ్చింది. ఇప్పుడు మన తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాలలో కూడా పండిస్తున్నారు.
