Why(in the media) are ancient Egyptians still portrayed as white people when there is more than enough evidence to prove otherwise? The issue of Hollywood whitewashing historical characters, particularly from ancient Egypt, has been a subject of controversy and criticism. Many Egyptians and individuals of Egyptian descent, as well as others who are concerned about cultural representation and historical accuracy, have expressed frustration and disappointment at the practice of casting non-Egyptian or non-African actors in roles that should rightfully be portrayed by individuals who more closely reflect the ethnicity and heritage of the characters.
