A hare is symbolically a 'goddess' - a permanently enlightened being.

If you scroll down you will find a heading called Observations, where examples of the symbolism in paintings, myths, books and poems can be found all alphabetically listed.

This page links to pages that describe the symbolism of twin horns, bulging eyes and the Fool, all of which were mentioned in the video.

CREDITS

SCULPTURES
Sophie Ryder's - hare is in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
Ryder’s work includes human, animal and mythological figures, ‘frequently melding forms’ with a nod to shape shifting. The Hare is a favourite subject. Her statue has the head of a hare, and its body is modelled on Ryder’s own. The duality is depicted by having the sculpture split in half.
