LOCATION
Wortley Hall https://www.wortleyhall.org.uk/hall-gardens/
A beautiful South Yorkshire stately home, Wortley Hall is set in 26 acres of gardens and woodlands.
In 1950 The Wharncliffe family decided to give up the hall and on 5th May 1951, Wortley Hall was handed over to the trade union, labour and co-operative movement. It was in a semi-derelict condition and the workers of South Yorkshire and surrounding areas carried out most of the repairs and restoration voluntarily Today, Wortley Hall is now a company in its own right, and is still a member of the co-operative union. The Wortley Hall Walled Garden is an organically certified kitchen garden, run by Heeley City Farm which has undertaken its restoration with the aim of:

• supplying quality organic food to the region.
• providing learning opportunities through courses, workshops & volunteering.
• providing educational visits for schools and community groups

They welcome visitors to the garden. There is currently no entrance charge. They are open April to October, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 10.30 - 16.00 and some weekends. They also Open Day Events., such as Heritage Open Days, Apple & Pear Day, and Plant Fairs. https://sites.google.com/site/wortleywalledgarden/Home/explore/tour-of-the-garden
