Up until then, she had studied psychology at San Diego State and done some modeling, but soon after meeting Hef she was whisked off into the "girlfriend" life of glamorous parties, reality TV and fame. A self proclaimed introvert, Crystal, had lost her dad an early age and had a string of bad relationships that made her new life seem fun and exciting at first, but it had a dark side. She quickly became Hef's #1 Girlfriend and with a marriage proposal, that wasn't much of a proposal at all, Crystal lost her identity and felt trapped in a life out of her control.
