New Zealand man bodyslams orca for fun

As tempting as it may be, please do not attempt to bodyslam a killer whale. Even total success means failure. If you need further dissuading from your foolhardy crusade to wrestle with giant marine mammals, then take a look at this warning to others from Auckland, New Zealand. A man who tried to bodyslam an orca in front of its mother, slightly missed, and thought the whole thing was so hilarious he had to share it on social media with several pieces of identifying information.

That was how the Department of Conservation were able to identify the 50-year-old whale botherer and point out that both he and the whale were lucky to escape his stupidity without injury. They issued a NZ$600 (US$370) fine, and pointed out that ‘having a whale of a time’ should not be taken literally.
