Scarlett Johansson has accused OpenAI of creating a voice for the ChatGPT system that sounded "eerily similar" to the actress after she declined to voice the chatbot herself. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman clarified the voice belongs to a different actress and said he was removing the voice from the company's products out of respect for Johansson.
