Nintendo of America Makes Paper Mario Character TRANS!

Nintendo of America localizers appear to have turned a character in the new Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake trans. Vivian, one of the ghost character in the GameCube classic was depicted in the 2004 original as a girl, but now there is allusions to that not being the case. The truth of the matter is somewhat in the details as this character had been referred to in the official materials as an otokonoko, a Japanese Fem-boy, in the previous iteration.

While there are more concrete changes in the game, this one seems to be a non starter. Japan is a weird place with this stuff, so while it might fit the new direction for Nintendo of America, not all that glitters is gold and not all that gender-bends is woke.
