This Week’s Activity and Events:

This week we talk about the Oahu Pentathlon that we almost signed up for…if we could have found someone to handle the canoe portion. Anyway, that is something to strive for next year! Instead of doing that race, Jay signed up for the Dick Evans Memorial Road Race, a 112 mile bike race around Oahu and the original bike leg of the first Ironman competition back in 1978.

We did some running, biking and a 5k for time this week in preparation for the Norman Tamanaha 15k Race on Sunday the 13th. This is the first of five events in the Bioastin Marathan Readiness Series to help prepare us for the upcoming Honolulu Marathon on December 11th. Last year was the first yar we completed this series in preparation for the Honolulu Marathon (our first was 2022) and we both set personal records. We are definitely seeing noticeable fitness improvement as we continue to train.
