1225 Cartridge Replacement Moen Tub and Shower
In this video, I will make a minor tub and shower repair and stop the shower and tub faucet from dripping. The faucet I will be working on is a Moen tub and shower faucet, and the cartridge I will be replacing is a Moen 1222, but it’s not the manufacturing brand. Still, from a third-party company that makes all kinds of faucet parts from Moen, Kohler, American Standard, Pfister, and more at a cheaper price, this company is called Danco, and I picked up this cartridge from home depot.
First, I cut the water off to the home and with the water off. I remove the cover plate and handle, breaking everything down to the main cartridge. To remove the cartridge, I used a specially made tool for moen 1225 cartridge removal.
This is one faucet that I can say as a plumber and, in my opinion, is the best and most used type for tub and shower water supply. This valve is well-made, durable, and looks great. It is very easy to make repairs or install. This has been my choice of tub and shower faucet for years. I have worked on many different types of tub and shower faucets, but I feel no other faucets can compare.
