Singapore Airlines flight: CEO apologises for 'traumatic experience' | BBC News

Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong has offeredhis "deepest apologies to everyone affected" after aflight from London to Singapore encountered severeturbulence, during which a passenger died.

The man, named as 73-year-old Geoff Kitchen, died of a suspected heart attack.

Seventy-one wounded passengers are being treated ata hospital in Bangkok, where the plane made anemergency landing. Six are in critical condition.

Singapore's new PM Lawrence Wong has promised a "thorough investigation".
