Woman shot dead, shooter kills self in murder-suicide

A woman was shot dead in broad daylight Tuesday, the latest victim in a two-year outbreak of crime across the CSRA that’s left more than 150 people dead.

Then the suspect later killed himself.

Deputies said the initial shooting was reported just after 1:30 p.m. at Druid Park Avenue and Walton Way.

Witnesses at the scene reported a body on the street with a sheet on top of it, and Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen confirmed it was a homicide case.
