Two Boeing whistleblowers have recently passed away. John Barnett, a former quality control manager, died by suicide in March 2024, at the age of 62, while he was in the midst of a legal case against Boeing ¹ ² ³. In May 2024, Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at Spirit AeroSystems, a Boeing supplier, died at the age of 45, after a brief illness .
