Famed Disney Animator SLAMS Company Over “the Message”

Legendary Disney animator John Musker, whose career with the company spanned nearly 4 decades, said in a recent interview that Disney movies have a problem with putting their message above entertainment.

The veteran writer and animator with classic such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, amongst others, said in the past they would have messages included in their movies, but the entertainment came first. Disney CEO Bob Iger said in recent months he believes the company should focus more on quality content too. However, Bob Iger also said he’s going to let his personal values be reflected in the final product.
