Ukrainian truckers protest against mobilization law

Ukrainian truckers staged a protest against new mobilization laws on Saturday by blocking a key highway between Kiev and Odessa. The new laws, effective from May 18, allow drivers to be drafted into the military when they return from abroad. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky justified the measure by citing the ‘need to staff the reserves,’ and continue the ‘normal rotation’ of troops.
