In April 2024, ZALA Z-16 operators continued to perform the tasks of aerial reconnaissance of terrain, identification of enemy positions, fire correction, objective control of the use of various weapons by the RF Armed Forces units in the SSE zone.

The reconnaissance drone is actively used by the “North” group for reconnaissance of equipment and positions of the AFU in Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine. If necessary, targets are hit with Lancets, artillery, and MANPADS.

In the battles for Chasov Yar, ZALA drones are a means of reconnaissance and objective control for the use of artillery and mortars, aerial bombs of various types with UMPK.

In other directions, reconnaissance drone operators traditionally interact with artillery, FPV and ATGM operators.

In April, the ZALA UAV operator for the first time publicly performed objective control of the use of the Army Aviation “Product-305” LMUR.
