and I’ve even talked about and against, but I’ve never explained it as thorough as @simonsinek did here. How are there businesses and organizations, even churches and social.

How are there businesses and organizations, even churches and social institutions, that only care about performance and not the fact that THEIR LEADERS CAN’T BE TRUSTED???

Not with ideas, not with money, not with people, not with clients, not professionally, not personally, not behind closed doors, not on stage at the podium with a mic.

I’m not saying that performance, results, metrics aren’t important. They definitely contribute to growth and success. But far too often Mr or Mrs High Performance/Low Trust gets promoted which leaves the rest disenchanted, undervalued and bewildered about the real message from those at the Top because the metrics needed to measure worthiness come from them.

And I get it, we all have different values and deal breakers.
