Those Dry Bones Are Coming Alive

The Modern American Church is full of dry bones with no life, just like Israel. We are so often lukewarm and playing at Church instead of living on faith. But it doesn't have to stay that way. In Ezekiel 37, we are told to pray the Spirit will fill us and give us life. Let's do that.

#Ezekiel’s Prophecy was primarily concerned with the Nation of #Israel. They had rejected their God, so He rejected them. Sent them into Exile. But this #Prophecy was looking ahead further than that. The #Prophet was seeing that one day the Nation of Israel would become nothing but dead, dry bones. They would be completely wiped off the map. And, when that happened, the world would say it was impossible for them to ever become a Nation again. But #Ezekiel was shown that one day God would bring them back into being as His Nation. He would bring the #Jews back to life. And, ultimately, when the Messiah set up His #Kingdom on Earth, they would be a part of it. In other words, he was prophesying the impossible. Yet, the same can be said of the Modern #Church. We are lukewarm at best. We play at “church” but do not actually act on what we claim to believe. And in Matthew 25, Jesus tells us those who are like that will be rejected when they stand before Him for Judgment even though they claim to have served Him. We are nothing but dead, dry bones and if we stay this way we will be thrown away. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

In these #Endtimes, Jesus wants to give us the Holy Spirit so we can be brought back to life. He wants to raise up those Dry Bones. But we have to want the same thing. We have to be willing to act on our faith and do the things Jesus did while on Earth. Only then will our Dry Bones come to life.
